A walk in the park

Last Sunday we took Ava to a park nearby which we had never been to. It is remotely hidden and you can miss it if you weren't looking for it. There isn't anything special about it other then it's close by and we had never been to it before. The weather was so nice that we decide to enjoy it outdoors. I was particularly excited because I knew this park had a swingset and I was a so curious to see how Ava would like being on a swing for the first time outdoors. From the moment we got there, Ava wanted to roam around. As soon as I saw the swings I quickly picked her and placed her in the seat. To my surprise she wanted no part of it and was crying to get off.

I'm sure over time she'll warm up to it and will beg us to take her to the swings in the future. There were many playground structures such as the swingset, jungle gym and slide however she just wasn't interested. Instead she was perfectly content walking around and observing her surroundings. Sometimes it's nice to just walk in the park.
