Two years tomorrow, Miss Ava Victoria blessed us with her presence. What a 2 years it has been! She has enriched our lives and our families with so much joy. Being a mother has it's challenges for sure but the happiness she has brought far outweighs anything.
I am amazed at just how much she has changed over this past year both mentally and physically. She looks so much grown up now and she is saying all sorts of things now. Some of our funny favorites include "sure" instead of yes or yeah, "mooooooonnn" or "moonie moonie" for Moon, and constantly "Mummy" when she wants my attention. Her favorite word is "No or "no no" or more recently "no way" - who knows where she picked that from?! This has been her reply for almost anything. Let's hope this fades out soon! She is putting words together too. Just yesterday morning she was watching a new sing along DVD and said out aloud, "nice show". Vic and and I glanced at one another in amazement. She says things like "Oh boy", "All aboard" "thank you" to name a few. She loves nursery rhymes and is fascinated with ALL animals.
She has gotten so tall and is taller than any of the kids her age. I'm curious for her 2 year appointment to get her stats of weight and height. She is currently wearing 3T, mostly for her height. Her winter pj's are usually the one piece kind and in the 3T they look HUGE but once on they fit well.
She is still extremely shy around men, no matter their voice pitch weather high or low. If you are a man, it will take a while for her to warm up to you and seeing her often will work in your favor so that she can become comfortable with you.
She has gotten so adventurous and at times fearless which makes this Momma a bit nervous at times, you just don't know what they will get into. She barely sits still unless a "show" (cartoon) she likes is on. She has so much energy ALL the time. I only wish I had one tenth of it so I could effortlessly keep up with her.
Her sleeping habits have not improved yet, see previous post. We have had so much going on that honestly we haven't been enforcing much. However we plan to after her birthday and Thanksgiving has gone by. Wish us luck, we will need it!
We just love our sweet baby doll who looks nothing like a baby anymore. How fast it goes by! We thank the Lord each and every day for our healthy and happy daughter.
The celebration continues...We have celebrated her day with kids last month. Ava just celebrated with Grandma & Grandpa Mark this weekend and we will celebrate tomorrow with her Auntie & Uncle and adorable cousins and grandparents.
We wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving!
