A Child is Born

For the longest time, I have wanted my own Nativity set but never seen one that I fell in love with. This year I finally saw one online that I really liked and placed it on my wish list to Vic. Vic surprised me with it (he had told me he had tried to order it but it never went through). I just loved how simply and pretty it looked. Below is a photo I just had to share.

Etched in the glass is the following "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given... and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ISAIAH 9:6. What a lovely reminder of what the true meaning of Christmas is all about it. I can't until each Christmas to proudly display my set.

Funny little story regarding Ava & the new Nativity set. Ava was actually given her very own Fisher Price Nativity set thanks to Auntie Kristen & Uncle Bruno. She loves it and plays with it all the time saying "Mommy, Daddy & Baby Jesus". When she saw mine, I told her to "be very careful with Mommy's Nativity set. It's just to look at and not to be played with." She thought for a moment and then said "no MY baby Jesus!" We couldn't help but chuckle at these words coming from our little two year old.
