Celebrating the Hubbs' 35th Birthday

My husband turned 35 this year. I have been asking him for the longest time, how do you want to celebrate, 35 yrs is a big deal. Of course being the typical guy he kept saying he didn't want to fuss and I must admit he did have a lot on his plate to think about. At the time he was building our friends Nathan & Limary deck and work was super busy as well. So I'm sure the last thing on his mind was a party when there was so many other priorities that required his attention. So we had a low key celebration at home on the day. Ava helped me make a super moist chocolate cake with caramel butter cream frosting, drizzled with caramel and topped with pecans. It was delicious! I may make it for Ava's Birthday as well. My parents came over for dessert and brought a fabulous homemade cheesecake with raspberry sauce. So it was a sweet evening!

Below is my nieces, Grace's & Abby's homemade birthday card that was just so cute, I had to share.

Here is the Birthday cake, Yum!!!!!! It actually tasted great days later as well.

Later in the week, Vic's Mom had a wonderful cookout to celebrate Vic's Birthday. His cousins Josh & Jen, Dave, Colleen & Isabel and Heath were all there. We had a blast and enjoyed an excellent meal of prime rib. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera so no photos. A special thanks to everyone for coming and celebrating Vic's special day. We love you all!
