I don't know what it is about this year but once it rolled around it has inspired me/us to refresh our surroundings. Perhaps we are just due for a little change. Usually I am not a fan of change, I tend to lean on the comfort of the same old. However a little change can be good and inspiring. It all began by replacing our ancient thermostat with a digital one and moving it down the hall. Then we had to patch the old hole and we thought let's repaint the place! We have been repainting our living room a pretty honeydew melon instead of the drab sand color we had. Vic has it mostly painted and I -the Momma have been playing interference with Miss Ava by either taking her out or keeping her busy while Daddy paints. After he's done she will point to a wall and say "Daddy paint this".

Once the living room is complete, we are planning on touching up the trim. Then repainting the kitchen the same color of butter cream yellow. Then finally remodeling our not so pretty bathroom to a sea blue green oasis and finally finishing with refacing the kitchen cabinets and redoing the counter tops. It's a lot I know but it is my husband's line of work and hopefully he can continue to focus on completing our place instead of taking side jobs. I sure hope all this work helps us sell our place so we can get a home. It would be so nice to have a place for Ava to run around outdoors and not feel so cramped in our small space. Keeping our fingers crossed that this is the year it happens for us!!
