Apple Picking

Nothing says Fall like apple picking followed by making apple crisp. This is how we spent our weekend. We found a charming apple orchard in Dartmouth, MA. The farm is 8 acres and the trees are just bursting with bright & delicious apples.

As you can see, this tree didn't survive Hurricane Irene.
There were many like this which they had sectioned off.

Look at these apples, aren't they gorgeous!?!
They had countless kinds to choose from and an abundance of each.
Tart green apples, mmmm

Ava quickly made a friend with the farm's dog Hogan.
This bred of Shepherd and Labrador was so playful. These two played toss & catch
for a quite a while. It was so sweet to watch.

Have I mentioned I LOVE the Fall?! We love family outings like this where everyone can get involved and spend a nice afternoon together. It even makes appple crisp dessert taste a bit sweeter knowing we all picked the apples ourselves.

  1. Looks like a perfect day! I love the pictures of Ava (and the new one for the blog is ADORABLE)! So cute that she was playing with the dog too!
