Week 17

So our big day that we have been anxiously awaiting for has arrived. Our second baby ultrasound was yesterday where we discover if your little baby is a boy or a girl. Our appointment was scheduled in the evening so Vic could make it. What a long day to get through for me. Not only did I want to find out but I was also worried about the baby's health. Just praying that our second little blessing was developing as should be.

Our appointment began with a student technician who didn't have any experience at all and couldn't reassure us with anything. After 20 minutes with her, an experienced technician came in and captured all the shots and measurements needed. She assured us the baby is doing great, no abnormalities and looks healthy. Thank heavens, thank the Lord!! What a relief to hear!

Then she examined the baby's lower regions. At first she wasn't able to get a clear view but then later definitely confirmed we are expecting another little GIRL! Another sweet baby girl to love, how exciting! Maybe just maybe this one will look like her Momma :)

It was so amazing to see our baby on the big screen moving every which way. We were informed that the placenta normally found in the front is actually behind the baby. Hence I am able to feel the baby much more this time. She is an active one and last night I felt two punches or kicks! So amazing to see our little miracle! Here are some of the photos we have to share. I compared them to Ava's and they look exactly a like. I bet they all do at this point but it was still interesting to see. We are already in love!!

Can you see that tiny little hand? Oh my heavens, so sweet!

I'm feeling good and we are just so happy. Ava will have a little sister :) She was happy when we told her that her prediction was right!

The baby already weighs 7 ounces (typically at this week the baby should weigh 5 ounces), almost two sticks of butter!
