Reflecting on 2011

I still need to post our wonderful Christmas with the family. But today I find myself in a reflective state as we have just one day left in 2011. What a year it has been!  I remember entering 2011 and thinking this is going a fantastic year, I can just feel it! I would have loved to have said there were minor hiccups this year. Unfortunately we went through some major disappointments. Beginning with a friendship being tested, the devastating loss of Vic's Step dad, and four months our lives being placed on hold in hopes purchasing our very first home which did not come true. One important lesson I learned this year is NOT to dwell on the negative. Instead focus on all the blessings in your life and be truly grateful for them. We have been blessed with plenty of blessings. Especially our second blessing whom we can not wait to meet! We may not have a bigger home just yet but I have faith that it will all work at some point.

On another note, it's our 3 year anniversary! I'm looking forward to getting out with the Hubbs for a nice dinner in Boston. Thank goodness there are no snow storms in the forecast like the one we battled through to get married that night.

Happy New Year everyone. May it be blessed with peace love and joy and all things good!

  3. I love that you are putting the challenges of 2011 on the back-burner (but still important to acknowledge disappointment and sadness - it is part of our lives) and trying to look at all the blessings (one very special one) in store for you this year!
