Not sure if the pregnancy cravings, but I have been craving hearty soups. In fact I have a bowl of soup as one of my meals daily. Vic's been eating lots of soup too. It's a great comfort food during the cold winter months. Yesterday morning it was only 9 degrees!! Brrr..
I've been catching the nesting bug. I suppose it began with a few gifts we received for the baby over Christmas. I've been going through Ava's clothes that I had put away and was surprised to find many items with tags still on. Most of these were because they were slightly out of season at the time. However they should be right on for Blessing number 2 :) I find that I am much more calm about getting stuff. It's probably due to the fact that we have all the big ticket items already such as the crib, changing table, swing, high chair etc. So really we don't need a super lot to make this little one or us happy.
We or I should say I keep changing my mind regarding the baby's name. It's such a major decision as you will refer to them as this forever. Honestly there aren't many names I like and the ones I do like either has been already taken by a close friend or family member. When we chose Ava, we thought we were being original and now we can't go to a store without hearing a mother calling out Ava. It's everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I do love the name and Ava fits her perfectly, I just wish it wasn't so popular. I think back to growing up and all the girls had the name Jen! I really hope Ava isn't as popular for Ava's sake. So for blessing number 2 we want to be a bit more original.

ReplyDeleteSecondly about Ava!!!
So funny reading your post regarding your choice with Ava's name!! I too thought long and hard when choosing Ava Sophia's name. I thought back to names of my classmates and yes Jen was everywhere!!! I had 4 Jens in my home room alone!! I thought long and hard about names that I never heard growing up. I also thought about the kids that at the time were in my 5-7th grade classes at GLCPS.
Not one was named Ava!
I guess the women who also decided on naming their little blessings Ava three years ago were also attempting to be original! How were we to know it would end up such a popular name!
I hear "Ava" everywhere we go! At least it is a beautiful name :)!
